Partnering with Household Goods to Give Back

Many of our customers have furniture and housewares they no longer want or need. Thanks to Home Team Moving’s partnership with Acton-based non-profit Household Goods, we make donating your items easy.

While we move you to your new home, we can also help you give back. If you have good-quality used items or approved items you’d like to donate, we’ll collect them and include them in our next delivery to Household Goods,  at no extra charge.

Household Goods provides a full range of donated furniture and household items, free of charge, to help people in need make a home.

From bed frames and bookcases to sofas, dishware, and more, we’re thrilled to help you help others. Over the years, we’ve delivered countless truckloads of donations, and we look forward to delivering countless more to support this critical community cause.

Donating during your move makes practical sense, too. There is no extra charge for the pickup, you save on the disposal and junk-removal costs you would otherwise pay to clear those items, and good-condition furniture goes to a family building a home instead of a landfill. It is an especially natural fit during the moves when the most usable items surface: downsizing into a smaller place, helping a parent out of a longtime home, staging a property, and decluttering before a listing.
