Household Goods: A 10-Year Partnership

For more than a decade, we have partnered with Household Goods in Acton, a nonprofit that provides donated furniture and household items, free of charge, to people working to build a home. Many of our customers have furniture and housewares they no longer want by the time moving day arrives. Rather than send usable pieces to the dump, we collect them during your move and include them in our next delivery to Household Goods, at no extra charge.

It is a simple arrangement that does a lot of good. You save on disposal costs, you avoid hauling things to the curb, and a bed frame, bookcase, or sofa you no longer need goes to a family setting up a home of their own. Over the years we have delivered countless truckloads, and we look forward to delivering many more. You can read the full details on our donation pickup page.

Bike Donation Events

For the past four years, in partnership with “The Bike Connector,” our crew has collected and transported donated bicycles for repair and redistribution.

2026 Concord Zero Waste Day Bike Drive – May 16, 2026. Bikes collected in Concord and Wilmington, then delivered to The Bike Connector in Lowell. 126 bikes in all, every one headed for repair and a second life. Special thanks to Johnny and Angel for making the run happen.
Arlington Bike Donation Bonanza – May 10, 2026, Arlington Reuse & Recycling Center, 33 Ryder St. Our crew helped gather and transport donated bikes to The Bike Connector in Lowell.

Welcome Home Donation Drive

We are organizing a donation drive to collect linens and household essentials for Welcome Home in Newton. This effort is in collaboration with professional organizer Jennifer Gershon (jenn@cidorg.com).

For our fifth year, Home Team Moving is a proud sponsor of the Lexington Battle Green BBQ Festival, handling stage delivery, setup, and breakdown. Proceeds benefit the LABBB Collaborative, supporting students with special needs.

Paying it Forward - Two Wheels at a Time!

Our customers’ homes often hold outdated or outgrown bicycles they no longer want. Lowell-based charity The Bike Connector wants to restore those bikes to become a child’s or an adult’s wish come true!

For the past four years, Home Team Moving has partnered with The Bike Connector at bike collection events, transporting hundreds of donated bicycles to their Lowell workshop. The Bike Connector then restores them, pairs them with a new helmet and lock, and distributes them to children and adults in need who visit the shop or attend bike giveaway events at schools in underserved areas.

We thoroughly enjoy helping our customers’ bikes live their ‘next life’ with a grateful child or adult. Please consider donating your bikes at local collection events. You might just see Home Team Moving loading them for transport to The Bike Connector!

WOW. I don’t really know where to begin with this review. I guess the beginning…I met Ben, the owner of Home Team Movers when he came to give an estimate to my tenant for her move to the next town; plus, a move of some of her items to a storage facility.His relaxed manner was infectious, as he answered every question carefully and fully. His details left no more questions from the group.The day of packing came and by day’s end, everything was packed neatly in the apartment - ready to go. Hard to believe, but moving day was even better. The crew got right to work packing the truck, they worked continuously and made quick work of loading all the boxes into the truck. Someone came and asked me for a broom. He proceeded to sweep up anything and everything from the floor and then walked around with me through each room to make sure I was satisfied with the results of their work. If this wasn’t enough, they asked where I would like the trash bags, so I wouldn’t have to carry them.Ben came by to make sure everything was properly done, which was comforting and reassuring. I guess one of the best things about this move was the attitude of the owner and crew. They were extremely professional, but at the same time, friendly and seemingly happy to be doing their job to the best of their abilities.Thank you so much for making a difficult job look easy and for taking the stress out of moving day. We had a very positive experience with Home Team Moving — it was fantastic from start to finish. I called several different companies for quotes and Ben was the only one who offered, actually insisted, that he come to house. He wanted to see exactly what the move would entail so he could give us an accurate quote. (I was annoyed to get quotes from other companies who had not even seen our home.) Ben came out the next day, walked thru the house, saw every floor, every room, opened every door. He immediately had suggestions for how to handle the move efficiently and with the least amount of stress. It was clear that he wasn’t just considering how to our stuff, but also how to help us handle the move emotionally. A day or two later he sent me an estimate with a breakdown and a proposed schedule. It was a helpful process that made me feel like we were in good hands.We ended up spreading the move out over three days. The first day the team tackled the kitchen and helped me pack our basement, which included a large number of collectibles and memorabilia. It was an emotional day for me as I helped them remove and carefully pack the items. The team was supportive and positive and kept things moving along. We followed more of Ben’s great advice and stayed at a hotel the night before the move. Load in day had them dealing with icy conditions in the driveway, but the team was prepared and unfazed. Again, everyone was positive and efficient. They were constantly checking in about where we wanted things placed so we wouldn’t have to move anything after they left. We have moved MANY times over the last 20 years and this was by far the least stressful. It was actually kind of fun — great conversations, lots of laughter and kindness all around. We are thankful to Ben and the whole team for making it such a great experience.FYI: we moved from a 3000sqft home to a 4000sqft within the same town.

Brian led the team of 5 guys for the move out and 5 guys for the move in. John, Ray, Leo, Angel and Shaq busted their ass for two days. There was no loafing. They were all communicative. I added more items to the move and needed 3 trucks instead of two. It cost me more money but they were able to accommodate me when I trucks are hard to during June. Third time I’ve hired Home Team & as usual they were great. This job was unusual and took almost eight hours to complete with the outside temperature a muggy 90F. The crew spent hours packing and moving hundreds of pieces of glass, jars of mycological specimens, shelving & furniture. I stayed completely out of their way during the packing/loading the truck phase. But, when they were unloading (which took less than an hour) I hung out in an unaffected room. After all of those hours packing, moving & dealing with the muggy heat they were in great spirits & joking with each other. If it had been me I would have been a cranky puddle of sweat. Thanks guys!

However, that was far from my experience with Home Team Moving from Lexington, MA. From the very first inquiry about moving services with Matt to my actual move today, the customer service and experience was top notch. By far, it was the best moving experience I’ve had in my 20 years of professional moves for my career. I would like to give a Special Shout Out to the Superb Moving Team, Hector, Brenny, and KJ. They were extremely kind, moved with care, but also expeditiously. When I needed something moved or my area rug turned the other direction, they did so graciously and offered assistance wherever needed. They also handled my belongings like they were their own - which I appreciated so much.I was very, very impressed with the professionalism of this moving company, the attention to detail of Matt in planning, and the personalized touches the day prior (and morning of my move) to ensure all went smoothly. Definitely a top notch experience and should be considered for your next move!! And definitely a plus if you score Hector, Brenny, and KJ on your moving day!! Thank-you guys so much!

We had a huge one bedroom apartment with lots of art, plants, and furniture. We had the Home Team Moving help us this past weekend. Hector, KJ, Oscar, and George. An amazing experience. On time, extremely communicative with any questions they had and their plan to get things done. Very professional, friendly, and easy to work with.They estimated 7hr, but ended up finishing around 5hr, including a 2hr commute. Would go back to Home Team Moving for any other moving help we need and would recommend them to anyone else looking for moving help.
