Full Service Packing
For homeowners who want the entire job handled, our professional packers cover every room. Kitchens, china cabinets, bookshelves, closets, garages, basements, attics, sheds, and home offices. We supply industry-grade boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, dish packs, wardrobe cartons, and mattress covers. Every box is labeled with the room and a short content note so you know what you are opening at the new house.

Fragile and Specialty Item Packing
China, crystal, artwork, mirrors, electronics, vinyl collections, instruments, and inherited heirlooms get the extra care they deserve. Our team uses dish packs, double-boxing, custom corner protection, and bubble wrap for any item that cannot survive a generic toss into a box. For high-value pieces and oversized art, we build custom crates to spec.

Partial Packing and Last-Minute Help
Plenty of customers want to pack their own clothes and personal items but need help with the kitchen, the basement, or the office. Partial packing is one of our most requested services and we tailor it to whatever rooms you want covered. How much do packing services cost in Lexington, MA?

Packing is billed hourly based on the number of packers your home needs, plus the cost of materials used. For smaller homes, we can sometimes pack and move on the same day, but for full-home jobs, a day-of-move pack tends to stretch the timeline. The walkthrough is where we recommend the right schedule for your home.

Do you supply all the packing materials?

Yes. Our packers bring industry-grade boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape, dish packs, wardrobe cartons, mattress covers, and specialty crates for fragile or oversized items. Materials are billed as used, so you are not paying for boxes that never got opened. If you prefer to pack yourself but want our supplies, we also deliver materials straight to your door.

Can you pack fragile items, art, and antiques safely?

Absolutely. Fragile and high-value packing is one of the most common reasons customers book us. We use dish packs for kitchenware, double-boxing for delicate pieces, custom corner protection for framed art, and bubble wrap and acid-free paper for heirlooms and collectibles. For especially valuable or oversized art and antiques, we build custom crates to spec.

Do I have to book packing and moving together?

No. Plenty of customers book packing on its own, especially for downsizing, estate clearouts, or moves where another company is handling transport. That said, most homeowners find it easier to run the entire project through one crew – we pack the day before, move the morning of, and unload at the new home on the same schedule. WOW. I don’t really know where to begin with this review. I guess the beginning…I met Ben, the owner of Home Team Movers when he came to give an estimate to my tenant for her move to the next town; plus, a move of some of her items to a storage facility.His relaxed manner was infectious, as he answered every question carefully and fully. His details left no more questions from the group.The day of packing came and by day’s end, everything was packed neatly in the apartment - ready to go. Hard to believe, but moving day was even better. The crew got right to work packing the truck, they worked continuously and made quick work of loading all the boxes into the truck. Someone came and asked me for a broom. He proceeded to sweep up anything and everything from the floor and then walked around with me through each room to make sure I was satisfied with the results of their work. If this wasn’t enough, they asked where I would like the trash bags, so I wouldn’t have to carry them.Ben came by to make sure everything was properly done, which was comforting and reassuring. I guess one of the best things about this move was the attitude of the owner and crew. We had a very positive experience with Home Team Moving — it was fantastic from start to finish. I called several different companies for quotes and Ben was the only one who offered, actually insisted, that he come to house. He wanted to see exactly what the move would entail so he could give us an accurate quote. (I was annoyed to get quotes from other companies who had not even seen our home.) Ben came out the next day, walked thru the house, saw every floor, every room, opened every door. He immediately had suggestions for how to handle the move efficiently and with the least amount of stress. It was clear that he wasn’t just considering how to our stuff, but also how to help us handle the move emotionally. A day or two later he sent me an estimate with a breakdown and a proposed schedule. It was a helpful process that made me feel like we were in good hands.We ended up spreading the move out over three days. The first day the team tackled the kitchen and helped me pack our basement, which included a large number of collectibles and memorabilia. It was an emotional day for me as I helped them remove and carefully pack the items. The team was supportive and positive and kept things moving along. We followed more of Ben’s great advice and stayed at a hotel the night before the move. Load in day had them dealing with icy conditions in the driveway, but the team was prepared and unfazed. Again, everyone was positive and efficient. They were constantly checking in about where we wanted things placed so we wouldn’t have to move anything after they left. We have moved MANY times over the last 20 years and this was by far the least stressful. It was actually kind of fun — great conversations, lots of laughter and kindness all around. Third time I’ve hired Home Team & as usual they were great. This job was unusual and took almost eight hours to complete with the outside temperature a muggy 90F. The crew spent hours packing and moving hundreds of pieces of glass, jars of mycological specimens, shelving & furniture. I stayed completely out of their way during the packing/loading the truck phase. But, when they were unloading (which took less than an hour) I hung out in an unaffected room. I really appreciated that Matt did a Facetime with me before drawing up a quote so I could feel confident that the estimate was realistic and there wouldn't be any surprises. Enrique and his crew were awesome! They took great care in taking apart beds and moving large dressers, packing and wrapping items carefully. They were cautious moving items out of the old house and again very careful and thoughtful in loading furniture into the new house. We also asked that they apply new felt pads to each of the furniture items which they did with no problems. They were extremely polite and reasonable to work with. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when the time comes.

They fit me in before another job on short notice, moved a 500 gallon aquarium, stand and a ton of accessories. The crew showed up on time and got a plan together. Moving this tank was no easy feat… but these guys made it look it. Loaded undamaged with only a bit of stinky aquarium water on them. 😂 Great job crew and thanks again!

Moving is not fun, but these guys made it as painless and even entertaining as one could ever hope for. The process was great in all respects. The estimate was fair and the price actually came in a bit below the estimate. The crew was friendly, funny, upbeat, and incredibly helpful. Moving large furniture into an old house can be really challenging, but the crew consistently found creative ways to solve what looked to me like insurmountable problems, even when it made it harder on them.I can't say enough good stuff about these guys. I hope I don't have to move again any time soon, but if I do, I will definitely call them.
